1800 DECLUTTER

FAQ

Questions people ask before booking

What happens in the free discovery call?

30 minutes by video. We look at the photos or video you sent, may ask for a short live walkthrough, and talk about what you want to change. Afterwards we recommend a plan and email a link to pay if you want to go ahead.

Do I have to send photos or video?

No, but it helps us make the most of the call. A slow phone video walking through the main areas is ideal. Files are stored privately in Australia.

Will you judge me or my home?

No. We work with homes at every level, including ones that are hard to walk through. Clutter builds up for real reasons: grief, illness, ADHD, depression, or life simply getting too much.

Does a virtual session actually work for hoarding?

Yes, for many people. You stay in control of your things, there is no stranger in the house, and short weekly sessions are easier to keep up than a long day. If the home needs hands-on help, we will tell you.

Will you make me throw things away?

No. You decide what stays and what goes. Our job is to help when a decision gets stuck and to keep the session moving.

What do I need for a virtual session?

A phone or tablet with a camera, a reasonable internet connection, and a charger. We send a video link by email. No app to install.

How many sessions will it take?

It depends on the size of the home, its level, and how quickly decisions come. One session usually makes one area usable. A Level III home is often months of steady weekly work.

Do you take things away?

No. Rubbish removal, skip bins, donation runs and cleaning are separate services. We can suggest what to look for and help plan when to book them.

Are you a counsellor or therapist?

No. We provide practical support. Hoarding disorder is a mental health condition, and a GP or psychologist can help. Many people do both at once.

Can I book for my mum, dad or partner?

Yes. Choose “A family member” when you request the discovery call. The person whose home it is has to know about the support and agree to it.

Is my information kept private?

Yes. We only use your details to run your sessions. Photos of the home are never shared or used for marketing without written consent.

Do you accept NDIS, My Aged Care or other funding?

Not at the moment. All sessions are private and prepaid.
