Privacy policy
Draft for review before launch. Last updated 1 October 2026.
1800 DECLUTTER (ABN 00 000 000 000) handles personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Names, email addresses and phone numbers of the person booking and the person whose home it is.
- The state the home is in, its approximate clutter level, and notes you choose to share.
- Photos and video of the home, shared for a session.
- Payment confirmation from Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Why we collect it
To arrange and run your sessions, contact you about them, keep records required by law, and keep people safe. Some of what you tell us may be health information, which we treat as sensitive.
Photos and video
Photos and videos you upload are stored privately in Sydney, can only be opened by our team, and are used only to plan your support. They are deleted when your support ends. Sessions are not recorded unless you ask. We never use photos of a home for marketing without written consent from the person who lives there.
Job applicants
If you apply to work with us, we collect your contact details, location, availability, study details, answers and any CV you attach. We use them only to assess your application and contact you about it. They are stored privately in Sydney and deleted within 12 months if you are not hired, unless you ask us to keep them on file.
Who we share it with
Stripe processes payments, Vercel stores files and requests, and Resend delivers our emails. We do not sell your information. When a family member books, we only share session details with them if the person whose home it is agrees, unless we are required by law or someone’s safety is at serious risk.

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold by emailing hello@1800declutter.com.au. If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, tell us first. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
